Cracking the Code of Parent-Teen Relationships

Online support & education group

Cracking the Code of Parent-Teen Relationships is an education and support group for parents and caregivers of tweens and teens seeking a place to connect with others and to make more sense of the mysterious creature known as an adolescent. Join DJ and other parents weekly for discussion and education focused on better connections and effective communication with your teens and tweens.

What is Cracking the Code based on?

Inspired by nearly 20 years of clinical work with adolescents, couples, and families, DJ Hilley, MSEd, LMHC, integrated decades of research findings in the areas of intimate relationships, brain development, and attachment. • DJ’s background in relationship improvement methods influenced a great deal of his thinking around parent-teen relationships. Simply put, you can’t control teens - or if you do it probably won’t bode well for the long run. They need freedom and autonomy, and as one teen put it, “Controlling parents create sneaky kids.”
So, influencing them really is your best bet. And this workshop will teach you how to do it.
